Reggaeton and the philharmonic are not where you’d expect thirty years of one genre’s arc to land, but Yandel has been working toward this crossing longer than the tour announcement alone suggests. The SINFONÓNICO tour — described in its promotional materials as “an innovative live experience” fusing his catalog “with the majestic sound of a live philharmonic orchestra” — arrives at Toyota Center on Saturday, October 10. He is, by the tour’s own account, the first artist in his genre to take his greatest hits into a full symphonic setting.
About the Show
Born Llandel Veguilla Malavé in Cayey, Puerto Rico (before music, he worked as a barber in his hometown), Yandel built his name as one half of Wisin & Yandel, the duo that spent a decade turning reggaeton into an arena-level proposition across two hemispheres. The 2005 album Pa’l Mundo earned a Latin Grammy nomination; Los Extraterrestres (2009) took home the Grammy for Best Urban Latin Album. When the duo went on hiatus in 2013, Yandel stepped out with De Líder a Leyenda, which hit number one on the Latin charts and earned RIAA Gold certification. Dangerous (2015) went triple-platinum. The catalog has kept moving since: Resistencia (2023), a 17-track release featuring Wisin, Maluma, and Young Miko, reached number 12 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart; Elyte (2024) blended classic reggaetón with contemporary trap, hip-hop, and electronic grooves and cracked the chart’s Top 40; and Infinito, released January 2026 with J Balvin and Xavi, is the most recent entry.
The SINFONÓNICO format puts his full band and dance crew on stage alongside the orchestra, running, in the tour’s own words, “the rhythm of reggaeton with the sophistication of classical music.” The nine-city US leg opened September 25 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and closes November 1 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado; Houston falls between a Laredo date October 9 and a Hidalgo show October 16. The Radio City Music Hall stop on this tour generated $689,432 from 5,942 tickets sold — a measure of where his crossover pull currently stands. No support act is listed.

Toyota Center at 1510 Polk Street anchors the show in downtown Houston. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.; the performance begins at 8:00 p.m.
