Live Music Across Texas

Authentic. Rugged. Statewide. Built for Texas music fans. From dance halls to arenas, we follow the music.

Lonestar Concerts is a media publication covering live music across the state of Texas. We are not a ticketing platform, not a content farm, and not an algorithm. We are an editorial operation — built around the simple idea that the best regional music coverage comes from people who know the difference between Stoney LaRue and Wade Bowen, between a Mohawk booking and an ACL Live booking, between Selena and Selena Gomez.

What We Cover

Every venue that matters in Texas. Every touring artist worth a Friday night. The five-thousand-cap arenas in Dallas and the eight-hundred-cap dance halls in Gruene. The Tejano showcases at Cowboys Dancehall and the indie rooms on Red River Street. The country circuit, the Red Dirt scene, Houston rap homecomings, the Austin singer-songwriter rounds at the Saxon Pub on a Tuesday night, the Tejano Conjunto Festival in May, the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo in February.

We cover four metros — Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio — plus the Hill Country dance hall circuit, the secondary markets (Lubbock, Corpus, El Paso, Waco), and everything in between.

How We Work

Every concert we cover gets verified against the source. Every venue we recommend is one we can stand behind. Every ticket link goes through a real, working affiliate route — and when one of those routes earns us a commission, you can find the disclosure on every article and in our FTC compliance page. We frame the show; we don’t sell it.

Our editorial calendar is built around the music, not the commission structure. We cover shows at venues that pay us nothing. We recommend events that generate zero affiliate revenue. We write about the Cheatham Street Warehouse Tuesday-night songwriter rounds with the same care we give the Toyota Center stadium dates.

Texas Literacy

You cannot fake Texas. The reader can tell when a writer doesn’t understand the difference between Tejano and conjunto. The difference between a Stockyards bar and a Deep Ellum club. The difference between Luckenbach mythology and Luckenbach reality. Our writers know the state, the scenes, and the music history. That’s the price of admission to the masthead.

Texas country, Red Dirt, Texas blues, Tejano, conjunto, Houston hip-hop, Austin indie, alt-country, Americana, jazz, classical, the country dance hall circuit — all of it gets covered with the depth and discipline of a regional arts magazine.

Who’s Behind It

Lonestar Concerts is a property of Evolve, LLC, the same media group that operates Upstate Concerts in New York. We built Lonestar Concerts in 2026 to apply everything we learned from a year of editorial-quality concert coverage in the Northeast — and to do it for the music capital of America.
