Keath Ósk’s ‘Harpy Hare’ doesn’t sound like a viral hit. The song runs on acoustic folk and voice-shifting characters drawn from an illustrated storybook world, something built closer to nursery rhyme than streaming hook. It topped Spotify’s Global Viral Songs Chart in early 2024, charted at number 34 on the Billboard TikTok Top 50, and sent Ósk on a path to Atlantic Records and, eventually, The Foreword Tour.
About the Show
Ósk performs as Yaelokre, a narrative folk project built around Meadowlark, a fictional illustrated universe whose core characters are four minstrel-like figures called The Lark: Cole, Clémentine, Perrine, and Kingsley. Ósk voices all of them in performance, shifting register and character across each song, and plays a self-designed instrument also named the Meadowlark. Ósk describes the larger world as “a bridge! A story within stories among many.” The project grew from a background that splits between two worlds: Ósk learned music from an Icelandic mother and storytelling from a Filipino father, originally planning to become a children’s book author before music became the outlet. That origin shows in the writing: folk instrumentation and vocal layering running closer to poetry than verse-chorus, wrapped around an invented cosmology Ósk calls “a diary-turned-storybook.”
The Foreword Tour opened in Gent, Belgium on October 7, moved through Germany, Switzerland, and the UK, and included a stop at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire in London, part of a UK and Ireland run that sold out within one week of announcement. The tour spans more than 15 dates across Europe and North America. The American leg picked up in Charlotte in November, with Dallas on December 19 as the second-to-last stop before the tour closes in Houston the following night.
Ben Caplan opens. When Yaelokre announced the UK support, Ósk called Caplan “my favourite musician” — a line that landed with fans and apparently stuck, since Caplan carries through to the North American dates as well. The most recent studio work is Origins, released October 2025, following the Hayfields EP (March 2024) and Songs of Origin EP (September 2024). In early 2025, before the Foreword Tour announcement, Ósk opened for Norwegian artist Aurora at a 2,000-seat venue in Manila.
