Wage War describes It Calls Me By Name as “five tracks shaped by Florida, the swamp, and the relentless aggression of nature.” The Emergency Broadcast Tour opens at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio on Sunday, October 25 — first date of a 24-city North American run, and a stop that precedes Houston, Las Vegas, and the entire eastern leg.

Wage War headlines with We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill in support — the full lineup on deck for opening night. The Ocala, Florida metalcore band is on its second headline run of 2026 behind the same EP. A spring It Calls Me By Name headline tour preceded this fall outing; the current leg kicks off in San Antonio and closes in Orlando on November 27, then continues with UK and European dates in January 2027.
The EP has held up under a heavy tour schedule. Five tracks (“Song of the Swamp,” “4×4,” “Blindfold,” “Karma,” and “Purify”) released in April via Fearless Records. Distorted Sound rated it 9/10, calling it “a bruising and uncompromising work” and noting the opening track “establishes immediate intensity and circle pit-ready energy.” Aggregate criticism elsewhere landed on a phrase worth keeping: “This isn’t a reinvention, it’s a mutation.” Among individual tracks, “4×4” drew the strongest notices; “Blindfold” was cited as the atmospheric outlier.
Wage War formed in Ocala in 2010 under the name Empires, settled on the current name after a 2013 lineup change, and signed to Fearless Records in 2015. They ran the full Vans Warped Tour circuit in 2016. Five full-lengths followed: Blueprints (2015), Deadweight (2017), Pressure (2019), Manic (2021), Stigma (2024). Current lineup: vocalist Briton Bond, rhythm guitarist and clean vocalist Cody Quistad, lead guitarist Seth Blake, bassist Chris Gaylord, and drummer Stephen Kluesener.
