$uicideboy$ built their catalog on their own terms — self-produced beats, their own G*59 Records imprint, and a sound that pulls equally from Southern rap and something darker and heavier. Ruby da Cherry and $crim are New Orleans cousins, and the music carries that city’s instinct for weight in the low end.
About the Show
They founded the duo in 2014, cousins who grew up on the east and west banks of New Orleans, and built a following through SoundCloud with abrasive, self-produced beats paired with lyrics running to substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and imagery drawn from horror films and occult traditions. Their official debut, I Want to Die in New Orleans, came in 2018 after a sprawling Kill Yourself EP series spanning dozens of releases. Major labels never entered the picture: they stayed on G*59 the whole way. The charts found them regardless — Long-Term Effects of Suffering (2021) and Sing Me a Lullaby, My Sweet Temptation (2022) both debuted in the U.S. Top Ten, and New World Depression hit number five in 2024. Their 2025 album Thy Kingdom Come debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, their highest-charting debut yet, and they followed it in December with Thy Will Be Done. Over 27 billion collective streams; one of only two independent acts on Spotify’s RapCaviar Top 10 Most Streamed Rappers for 2025.
The Grey Day Tour is an annual tradition. The 2025 edition ranked as the fourth highest-grossing hip-hop tour of the year; the 2026 version runs 33 dates through arenas and amphitheaters across North America, kicking off August 29 in Shakopee, Minnesota and wrapping October 20 in Birmingham, Alabama. The Austin stop brings Destroy Lonely, Shakewell, DRAIN, Black Kray, and $lim Gucci as support. The tour again partners with mental health organization PLUS1, directing $1 from every ticket toward mental health resources and community programs.
