They Might Be Giants at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall | November 14, 2026

They Might Be Giants close out their Texas run at The Echo Lounge on Saturday, November 14 — Night 2 of a two-night Dallas stand, and if you’ve seen TMBG before, the second night in any multi-night stand is the one to catch.

It’s how The Bigger Show Tour works: Set 1 each night spotlights a different album from the catalog, meaning Night 1 and Night 2 are different shows that happen to share a room. Set 2 pulls from fan favorites and deep cuts, but the anchor rotates. If you caught Night 1 on the 13th, come back Saturday. If you missed it, Night 2 stands alone just fine.

The Bigger Show Tour

The album they’re touring behind is The World Is to Dig, their 24th studio record, released in April 2026. The touring configuration is an 8-piece: John Flansburgh and John Linnell up front, Danny Weinkauf on bass, Dan Miller on guitar, Marty Beller on drums, and a three-piece horn section — Dan Levine, Stan Harrison, and Mark Pender. The band’s own tour tagline covers the essentials: “2 sets. 3 horns. 8-piece band. Starts early. Gets loud. Pointless swearing.”

The World Is to Dig is an 18-track record built around the band’s characteristic structural weirdness. Lead single “Wu-Tang” is essentially the TMBG thesis compressed into one song — a genuine celebration of Wu-Tang Clan written entirely as 1960s pop. Linnell has described it as a long-held idea: celebrating one artist or style through a completely unrelated musical genre. It works better than it has any right to.

The Texas leg before Dallas hit Austin (Nov. 5–6) and Houston (Nov. 10–11). After Dallas, the tour moves to Washington, D.C. This is a band deep into a touring year behind a new record, and they’ve barely stopped since April.
