The Living Tombstone at Aztec Theatre | October 14, 2026

The Living Tombstone’s arc makes a certain kind of sense once you see the full thing: Yoav Landau launches the project in 2011 as a teenager writing music about his favorite shows, Sam Haft joins seven years later as lyricist and vocalist (his previous career was in TV and film writing), NME dubs them “the internet’s biggest gaming band,” and then they spend six years making Rust — a protest album about authoritarian collapse shaped by dystopian 1980s science fiction. The Multiplayer Tour brings that record to the Aztec Theatre on Wednesday, October 14, for the only Texas stop on the U.S. run.

About the Show

The Living Tombstone plays October 14 at 8:00 p.m. Rust (out May 31, 2025 on 10k Projects and Ghost Pixel Records) is their first full-length since the 2020 debut zero_one, which explored self-actualization; this one turns outward on oppression, resistance, and social justice. Landau has called the writing and production “a huge challenge” — a six-year undertaking. Haft frames the record as carrying “optimism that we’re capable of truly confronting the issues we face,” and that matters: Rust makes an argument, not just a mood.

The duo’s catalog runs wider than the gaming-band tag suggests: a platinum certification, a #4 Dance/Electronic chart placement on their Five Nights at Freddy’s track, the Overwatch anthem “No Mercy,” and sync credits from Blumhouse and NBC Universal. The Multiplayer Tour follows a European leg that ran through September; the U.S. dates go October 2 through November 19. The live show is built around what the event listing describes as “a high-energy blend of rock, electronic and pop” with “immersive visuals and dynamic tracks that bridge live concert and dancefloor energy.” LA Weekly described the duo as “creating worlds for its fans to play in… and it’s brilliant, fascinating, and fresh.” Haft on the touring: “Our fans are everything to us, and we quickly learned how important these shows were to them.” No support acts are listed for the San Antonio date.
