Sleeping With Sirens have fifteen years of post-hardcore behind them — enough road to coast, enough catalog to play the legacy set and call it done — and their eighth studio album doesn’t do that. An Ending In Itself, out June 12 on Rise Records, was produced by Will Yip, who has spent the past decade shaping records for Turnstile, Circa Survive, and Movements. That’s not a generic hire. The An Ending In Itself Tour plays Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio on Friday, October 16, with doors at 7:00 p.m.
About the Show
The album is the band’s first for Rise Records since Feel, the record that debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 — the same label that earlier put out their gold-certified Let’s Cheers To This, which produced a platinum single. The return to Rise carries some weight: they’re back with the imprint that helped define their Warped Tour–era run, with new material that Kellin Quinn describes as “both a culmination and a continuation” of the emotional thread connecting How It Feels to Be Lost and Complete Collapse. The title track is framed as “a meditation on navigating hardships”; “Paralyzed” is the one they’re calling the heaviest track the band has recorded, with “Forever/Always” and “House of Matches” also among the 12-song set. The record is available as a standard release plus a colored vinyl with signed inserts and a 24-page zine CD with behind-the-scenes photos and handwritten lyrics. The fall run follows summer festival appearances at Warped Tour Long Beach, Inkcarceration, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. Rain City Drive and Shyeye open. The current lineup pairs Quinn with guitarists Nick Martin and Tony Pizzuti (the newest addition), along with Justin Hills on bass and Matty Best on drums.

Boeing Center at Tech Port is a theater at 3331 General Hudnell Dr in San Antonio. The band’s last stop in this market was approximately a year ago.
