The album is called Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy — a title that functions as both a punchline and a diagnosis. Sawyer Hill, the Arkansas singer-songwriter behind it, brings the debut to The Echo Lounge on October 29, one night before a homecoming show back in Fayetteville. The whole record was built around leaving Arkansas and not quite being able to shake it; the routing makes that literal.

Hill is out supporting Everybody’s Home, Nobody’s Happy, released August 21 on AWAL Recordings — an 11-track debut that press coverage describes as built on “swaggering rock hooks, country textures, and moments of bruised vulnerability.” The production roster is its own argument: Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys), Chris Greatti (Poppy, Yungblud), and Ryan Linville (Olivia Rodrigo, Dermot Kennedy). Lead single “Tyin’ The Noose” is described as “a jittery, blues-soaked country cut that takes a sardonic look at the stoicism expected of young men in the South,” with the album as a whole circling themes of religion, relationships, disillusionment, and the emotional constraints placed on young men from the South.
Hill has described the record as giving voice to “the loners and the doubters, the Southern kid who doesn’t understand why he’s meant to shut up about his feelings.” Press has placed him in an Arkansas musical tradition that runs through Al Green, Levon Helm, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and Johnny Cash — a line his deep baritone, often compared to Cash and Eddie Vedder, follows naturally. His breakout single “Look at the Time” hit No. 1 on Spotify’s U.S. Viral 50 in 2023. He opened for Yungblud on the North American IDOLS World Tour in summer 2025, released the EP Heartbreak Hysteria in April of that year, and has since sold out LA’s Troubadour and NYC’s Bowery Ballroom. This run is a 43-date world tour spanning nine countries. He covered Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” along the way; John Carter Cash endorsed the effort.
Dallas is the last of three Texas nights, after Scoot Inn in Austin on October 27 and The Heights in Houston on October 28, before Hill plays George’s Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville on October 30.

The Echo Lounge & Music Hall sits at 1323 N Stemmons Fwy in Dallas, holding around 1,000 — a meaningful step up from the club circuit this tour spent its first months working. Doors at 7:00 p.m., show at 8:00 p.m.
