Sabaton has built a touring machine on the premise that military history deserves power metal treatment — and enough people agree to pack a room like Houston’s 713 Music Hall. The Swedish five-piece arrives Saturday, November 7 on the Legends on Tour, with support from Pop Evil and Wings of Steel. One scheduling note worth knowing: this show was originally booked for February 13 before the entire tour was pushed back. Existing ticket holders got transfer options or refunds — either way, the date is locked now.
Legends, out October 17, 2025 on Better Noise Music, is Sabaton stepping back from the 20th-century warfare that made their name and reaching further into history. The album’s eleven tracks chronicle eleven figures — Knights Templar, Genghis Khan, Julius Caesar, Joan of Arc, Vlad the Impaler, Napoleon, Hannibal Barca, Miyamoto Musashi, Lü Bu, Pharaoh Senusret III — a sweep from medieval Europe through feudal Japan and ancient Rome. It’s also the first Sabaton album where every current band member contributed to songwriting, and vocalist Joakim Brodén has framed it as a direct extension of the catalog: “It’s like the story continues, but goes way back in time.”
713 Music Hall sits downtown at 401 Franklin St — a 5,000-capacity amphitheater-style room that suits a band running 30 North American dates in a single cycle. Sabaton gets to bring a real production here without playing an arena, which is the right configuration for this kind of touring metal bill.
