Arcángel at 713 Music Hall | November 5, 2026

Arcángel opens La 8va Maravilla with a line that sets the terms for everything that follows: “Me rajaron el pecho por la mitad / Y a la semana yo ya estaba en el estudio” — they split his chest in half, and a week later he was in the studio. Open-heart surgery in April 2025, then back at the mic before most people would be off the painkillers. What came out is his eighth studio album, his first sober, and what Billboard describes as “his most mature and experimental album to date, filled with merengue, afro house, banda, Jersey club, pop and his characteristic R&B and reggaetón sound, along with romantic, elegant lyrics and messages of faith.” The La 8va Maravilla World Tour 20 Aniversario is built around both: the record and the 20 years it took to arrive here.

About the Show

Twenty years in reggaetón and Latin trap is a genuine feat; the genre moves fast and doesn’t linger over its pioneers. Arcángel, born in New York and raised in Villa Palmeras, San Juan, is one of them. He built his reputation in Puerto Rico’s early 2000s urbano scene alongside De la Ghetto, the two recording as a duo and releasing hits including “Aparentemente” and “Mi Fanática” before Arcángel went solo. His 2013 album Sentimiento, Eleganza, & Maldad was certified gold in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. La 8va Maravilla, released January 2026, runs 20 tracks with collaborators including Daddy Yankee, Ricky Martin, Grupo Firme, Kapo, Sech, Beéle, and his son Austin San. Arcángel is signed to Rimas Entertainment, which also carries Bad Bunny. The U.S. leg — 17 dates from Orlando to San Juan, promoted by Live Nation — runs October through December. Consequence called it “his biggest tour of his career.” A 2023 Brooklyn date drew nearly 11,000 attendees and generated close to $1 million in revenue. The Houston stop on November 5 is the first of a two-night Texas run; Irving follows on November 6. No supporting acts have been announced for the Houston date.
