The tour supports Godly Ambition (WaterBrook/Penguin Random House, 2025), Ruslan KD’s national bestseller on the difference between eritheia, the selfish, backbiting ambition of self-promotion, and philotimia, the ambition the New Testament roots in brotherly love rather than personal gain. The publisher positions it as practical biblical application for readers navigating the tension between career and calling. The book draws on the author’s own life: born in Baku, Azerbaijan, he left as an Armenian refugee at age six in 1991, settled in San Diego’s City Heights neighborhood, navigated a troubled adolescence, and came to Christian faith toward the end of high school. Between 2015 and 2020, he built a career as a professional independent hip-hop artist, touring alongside Arrested Development, War, Murs, Mobb Deep, Wu-Tang Clan, and Yelawolf, collaborating with the Dream Junkies collective (John Givez and Beleaf Mel), and running Kings Dream Entertainment as his independent label.
