Foreverglades (released May 29, 2026, 12 tracks, 31 minutes) marks a genuine sonic shift. Pouya’s early records were built on the claustrophobic trap of the SoundCloud era he helped define; this one moves toward an organic Southern palette, described as “a gritty love letter to the Sunshine State,” its title playing on the Florida Everglades. The production balances hazy nostalgia with modern underground execution. Lyrically, it’s self-reflective, tracking the psychological realities of a decade-long independent career, Pouya’s trademark dark humor balanced by a more vulnerable perspective. RapReviews noted it “shows there’s more to Pouya than humor and jokes,” the writer “pleasantly surprised by his musical abilities.” Album of the Year logged an 80/100 critic score.
The full 48-date tour is Pouya’s most ambitious headline run yet, sweeping through the South, Texas, the West Coast, and the Pacific Northwest before closing December 9, 2026, in Jacksonville, Florida. Fat Nick and Black Smurf join the tour across multiple dates; Ramirez opens the San Antonio stop.
Pouya, born Kevin Pouya in Miami in 1994, started making music around 2011 and built his name through SoundCloud’s early underground wave, alongside childhood friend Fat Nick in the Buffet Boys collective. His 2012 track “Get Buck” became an early calling card, accumulating more than 13 million video views. He is credited with helping discover $uicideboy$ early in their career and with popularizing “shadow rap,” a dark and aggressive style that built a dedicated independent fanbase well before the mainstream noticed. After Buffet Boys dissolved in 2022, he founded All But 6 Records, the label he still operates.
