The circuit between a book and a dance floor is shorter than it looks. Fans have always wanted to inhabit the things they love in a physical way — you can see it in the Parrotheads who turned Margaritaville into a lifestyle, in the Deadheads who followed a tour for thirty years, in every generation’s impulse to turn a fiction into a room you can stand in. The summer of 2026 version of that impulse is OFF KAMPUS, a touring DJ dance party organized by TSN Parties around the Off Campus Briar University hockey-romance novels by Elle Kennedy and Miranda Honfleur. The series has built a devoted following on BookTok and BookTagram, and TSN Parties has been running it through club rooms across the country all summer. Dallas gets its night on Saturday, August 1, at The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in the Design District. Doors open at 8:00 PM. This is an 18-and-over event.
About OFF KAMPUS — Internet Romance Dance Party
The concept is stripped down by design: DJs spin a playlist that runs from Mazzy Star and David Bowie to Lady Gaga, Paramore, Cardi B, FLETCHER, and AC/DC while visuals from the Briar University series play on screens throughout the room. TSN Parties calibrates the energy to the register of a college house party that went right — hence the tagline, which the organizers have apparently earned: “Class is canceled. The party isn’t.” Themed drinks are available throughout the night; the format is general admission standing room. Add-on options for the Dallas date include a Happy Camper Pass, a Pre-Show Pass, and valet parking.
This is a national touring event, not a one-off pop-up. The summer 2026 run covers more than twenty markets and hits rooms that take their bookings seriously — the 9:30 Club in Washington DC, White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Irving Plaza in New York, First Avenue in Minneapolis, The Sinclair in Cambridge. That is a circuit of mid-capacity rooms with track records. The Dallas stop at The Echo Lounge fits that tier precisely.
About The Echo Lounge & Music Hall
The Echo Lounge & Music Hall opened in 2022 in Dallas’s Design District, a Live Nation venture developed in partnership with Mark Cuban. At 1,000 capacity, it holds a real crowd without losing the energy that makes a mid-size show worth attending. The venue books touring indie, alt, hip-hop, and electronic acts, and its production values run above what the older Deep Ellum clubs typically offer — a polished room without the antiseptic feel that afflicts some Live Nation builds. The Echo is a cashless venue; major credit cards and contactless payments are accepted. The box office opens two hours before showtime on event days. Self-parking and valet are available on-site. The venue is ADA compliant, with wheelchair-accessible spaces and companion seating. Located at 1323 N. Stemmons Freeway in the DFW area, near American Airlines Center and the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center.
