Motionless In White’s The Sweat and Blood Tour plays Germania Insurance Amphitheater on Sunday, July 26 — and the booking itself is the argument. The Scranton, Pennsylvania gothic metalcore outfit hasn’t headlined an American tour in nearly three years, and they’re not easing back in with a club run. Fourteen thousand capacity, outdoor amphitheater, Circuit of the Americas complex. Whatever they’re returning to say, they want to say it loud.
About Motionless In White
“By the time this tour begins, it will have been just under three years since our last U.S. headliner, and we are absolutely shooting for the moon to celebrate our return,” frontman Chris “Motionless” Cerulli has said. In the interval, MIW toured with Bring Me The Horizon this past spring — playing Madison Square Garden on a run that demonstrated the tier they’re capable of competing at.
January 2026 brought “Afraid of the Dark,” their first new music in four years: synth arpeggios, blisteringly fast metalcore verses, a blegh-heavy breakdown, and an anthemic clean chorus. It previews a full album due in 2026, timed to the band’s 20-year milestone — Cerulli describes it as “inspired by the band’s entire 20-year history.” The tour routing reflects the ambition: Red Rocks on August 9 (their first headline there), Kia Forum, Rogers Arena. The Austin date is mid-run, in a room that holds the scale.
The support lineup is stacked. Lorna Shore — one of the most prominent heavy acts in the current deathcore conversation — is on the bill. So is Fit For A King, Texas-based metalcore veterans who carry their own draw in this market. Static Dress, a UK post-hardcore act building a following beyond their home scene, rounds out the three-act undercard. MIW took home Best Live Artist at the 2025 Heavy Music Awards. The live show is the argument; judging by this routing, they believe it holds up in a room this size.
