In Toyota Center’s history, no act has played the building more often than MANÁ. Friday, November 6, they arrive for the thirteenth time on the Vivir Sin Aire Tour, named for the 1992 ballad that predates the group’s run as the best-selling Latin act of all time.
About the Show
The band formed in Guadalajara in 1986 under vocalist Fher Olvera, guitarist Ulises Calleros, bassist Juan Diego Calleros, and drummer Alex González, the same four who will take the Toyota Center stage in November. Their 1994 album Dónde Jugarán los Niños remains the best-selling Latin rock record of all time; a 1999 guest appearance on Carlos Santana’s Supernatural produced “Corazón Espinado” and widened their reach further into the United States; their 2002 album Revolución de Amor won the Grammy for Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album. The career since has accumulated four GRAMMY Awards and nine Latin GRAMMYs, a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, the Latin GRAMMY Person of the Year citation, and the Latin Billboard Lifetime Achievement Award. A 2025 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination made them the first all Spanish-language act to receive one. Their most recent project, Noches de Cantina (2025), brought reimagined older songs alongside guests including Christian Nodal and Carín León.
The Vivir Sin Aire Tour opened September 5, 2025, in San Antonio, ran completely sold out through its first leg (including two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre), then returned for a 2026 expansion of 19 new dates. The Houston stop arrives with an all-new production: expanded video elements and a live onstage waterfall built to draw audiences into what the band describes as their energy and storytelling. No support act has been announced. A portion of ticket proceeds benefits the Latinas Luchonas program, which partners with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation to support Latina women entrepreneurs through scholarships, mentorship, and leadership opportunities, in honor of the late mother of vocalist Fher Olvera. The band also operates the Selva Negra Ecological Foundation, a 30-year initiative combining environmental conservation with social development.
