Thirty years since they formed in London, Ontario, and Kittie is finally running a headline tour that matches what they’ve built. The Legacy of Fire Tour: 30 Years of Kittie lands at the Aztec Theatre on Monday, June 15 — the band’s first full North American headline run in over a decade, with Kingdom of Giants and Gore in support.
About Kittie
That framing matters. When Morgan Lander and company returned from hiatus in 2022, they came back with something to prove. Fire (2024, Sumerian Records) hit No. 13 on the UK Rock & Metal Albums chart and No. 20 on Billboard Top Album Sales. The single “We Are Shadows” climbed to No. 20 on Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay. A 2025 Juno Award nomination for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year followed. This isn’t a victory lap — it’s a working band putting real numbers on the board.
But the legacy side of that tour title is earned. Spit, their 1999 debut, went gold — over 600,000 copies in the US — and forced a reckoning with who gets to play metal and why. Last year’s Spit XXV (released September 19, 2025) revisited that catalog with re-recorded and reimagined versions of the debut’s tracks. The two releases together frame exactly what this tour is trying to do: honor what they built without disappearing into it.
Venue Info
The 1,477-capacity Aztec Theatre sits at 104 N St. Mary’s St in downtown San Antonio. San Antonio is the sixth stop on a 15-date run that cuts from St. Louis through the coasts and down through Texas before sweeping east to New York and up into Canada. At this size, the booking says Kittie trusts the room — no manufactured spectacle required. Kingdom of Giants and Gore open. Get there early.
