Jo Koy at Toyota Center | October 2, 2026
There was a time when Jo Koy was working Las Vegas coffeehouses, running the particular gauntlet that stand-up comedians run before anyone beyond a two-mile radius knows their name. That time is well behind him. In 2017, Honolulu declared a day in his honor — November 24th, formally, a city proclamation — after he sold out eleven consecutive shows at The Neal S. Blaisdell Concert Hall and moved 23,000 tickets. By 2019, his album Live From Seattle was sitting at number one on the Billboard charts. By 2024 he had four Netflix stand-up specials. The Koy Meets World Tour brings him to Toyota Center in Houston on Friday, October 2, 2026 — and by the time he walks out on that stage, his DreamWorks animated film Forgotten Island, in which he voices a character, will have been in theaters for exactly one week.
About Jo Koy
Joseph Glenn Herbert — Jo Koy — is a Filipino-American comedian whose material draws from the specific terrain of family life: the intricacies of Filipino tradition, the experience of raising a son into the millennial generation, the comedy that lives in the gap between where you come from and where you end up. It is specific material that travels broadly, which is how you wind up with sold-out arenas on three continents and a proclamation from the city of Honolulu. His four Netflix stand-up specials include Live from Brooklyn (2024), and he was named Stand-Up Comedian of the Year at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2018. His television résumé runs to more than 140 episodes of Chelsea Lately, with appearances on The Tonight Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. His podcast, The Koy Pond with Jo Koy, keeps the conversation going between tours.
The Koy Meets World Tour’s fall leg launched September 13 in Kansas City. The Houston date at Toyota Center is among the run’s earliest stops, with the tour continuing through Texas — San Antonio and Edinburg follow — before pushing north and east into the fall.
About Toyota Center
Toyota Center sits at 1510 Polk St in downtown Houston, an 18,043-capacity arena and one of the premier large-format venues in the region. For a comedian who has made arena-scale stand-up his regular operating environment, it is the right room — big enough to carry the crowd energy that makes this kind of comedy work, central enough to draw from across the city.
