On February 6, 2026, he released The Fall Off, his seventh studio album and self-described final one, as a double-disc meditation: Disc 29 finds him returning to Fayetteville, North Carolina at age 29, the noise of early fame just arriving; Disc 39 makes the same homecoming a decade later, quieter and heavier. The Fall-Off Tour — his first full global arena run since the 2017 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour — brings Cole to Toyota Center in Houston on Wednesday, September 16. Born Jermaine Lamarr Cole on January 28, 1985 in Frankfurt, Germany and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cole arrived in the music industry as a largely self-contained operation — writing, producing, performing — before Jay-Z made him the first artist signed to Roc Nation. He co-founded Dreamville Records in 2007 alongside Ibrahim Hamad and built it into a label of genuine weight: JID, Ari Lennox, Bas, EarthGang, and Morray all call it home. The Dreamville Foundation, established in October 2011, supports urban youth in Fayetteville — the same city that appears on both discs of his final record.
His Grammy-winning catalog tracks fifteen years of American hip-hop in careful sequence. Born Sinner debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in 2013. KOD broke Spotify’s opening-day streaming record in 2018. The Fall Off arrives as something different — a 24-track, double-disc record with features from Future, Burna Boy, and Tems, but built at its core around Cole’s own voice, considering what it means to leave. He has called it his last studio project. Whether that holds is his business. What’s on the record is enough to warrant the farewell tour designation.
Houston hasn’t seen Cole in approximately four years. The Fall-Off Tour opens in Charlotte on July 11, 2026 and closes in Johannesburg on December 12 — a proper global run, the first of its scope in nearly a decade. A city with a hip-hop lineage as deep as Houston’s will know exactly what it’s hearing.

Home to the NBA’s Houston Rockets, it has hosted major touring productions across every genre. For a show of this size and catalog depth, it is the fitting room.
