Hilary Duff returns to touring on Sunday, June 28 at Germania Insurance Amphitheater — her first major tour in nearly two decades, and a booking that doesn’t hedge. A 14,000-capacity outdoor amphitheater isn’t where you test whether your audience still exists. It’s where you go when you’re certain.
The occasion is luck… or something, Duff’s sixth studio album and her first new record in 11 years, released this past February on Atlantic Records. The Lucky Me Tour kicks off in West Palm Beach, routes through 28 North American cities over the summer, and extends internationally through February 2027 — the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico. It’s a full-scale global run, not a greatest-hits victory lap dressed up as a comeback. The scale of the routing makes that clear: Madison Square Garden, the Kia Forum, Red Rocks. Austin lands on a Sunday; DFW gets the follow-up two nights later at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory in Irving.
Duff broke through via the Disney Channel in the early 2000s, translated that into a legitimate pop career with three albums in quick succession, and then — gradually, for reasons that anyone who watched the entertainment industry in the 2010s can probably reconstruct — stepped back from recorded music for over a decade. Whatever’s on luck… or something made her comfortable enough to go back out on the road at this scale. That’s the argument the Germania booking is making.
Supporting on this date: La Roux and Jade LeMac. La Roux is a real co-bill — the UK synth-pop act behind “Bulletproof” adds genuine texture to what could have been a straightforward nostalgia show. Jade LeMac rounds out the lineup.
