Channel Tres brings The Enigma Tour to The Echo Lounge & Music Hall on Tuesday, September 1, with Zainab in support — the Dallas stop of a 20-date North American run that opens August 28 in San Diego and closes October 23 at Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles.
About Channel Tres
The booking places him in a thousand-cap room in the Design District, and that’s about right. Channel Tres isn’t playing clubs anymore — not since “Controller” pulled a Pete Tong co-sign and an Essential New Tune call-out from BBC Radio 1 back in 2018, and not after a run of collaborations with SG Lewis, Robyn, Disclosure, and Tinashe that established him firmly in the transatlantic dance-music conversation. But he’s also not filling amphitheaters. The Echo sits exactly where he’s at.
Born between Compton and Lynwood, he spent years as a behind-the-scenes operator — producing for Kehlani, JPEGMAFIA, and Duckwrth before stepping to the front of his own project. His sound lands in the space most people don’t have a clean name for: hip-house, West Coast rap laid over Chicago and Detroit house foundations, a rhythm logic that rewards the end of a set more than the beginning of one. Head Rush, his debut album on RCA, arrived in June 2024 — 17 tracks featuring Thundercat, Ty Dolla $ign, Teezo Touchdown, Toro Y Moi, Estelle, and Ravyn Lenae — and it’s the fullest version of the Channel Tres concept on record.
The Enigma Tour is the follow-through. The name connects to a string of pop-up events built around the concept and to March 2026’s single “Medicine.” If the pop-ups were the proof of concept, this is the touring version: stage production, a proper support slot, a room that fits the music. Zainab opens.
Dallas is the third date of the run; the tour routes straight to Austin the following night. The Echo at 1,000 on September 1 is going to feel different from wherever the amphitheater version of this artist lands in a few years. That gap is worth getting to.
