Diego Millán started Calle 24 as a quartet in Ciudad Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, then pared it down to a solo project. The songs followed him there. By 2023, “Qué Onda,” the corrido tumbado he wrote with Fuerza Regida and Chino Pacas, had debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 61. Billboard described it as a track that “turned a fizzled collaboration into a Hot 100 hit.” Now 23 and running his first solo U.S. tour, Millán brings the Eterno Tour to the Aztec Theatre on Saturday, September 12.
About the Show
Calle 24 is corrido tumbado — regional Mexican from northern Mexico, built on traditional corrido structure with contemporary urban production. Not Tejano; not straight Norteño. The distinction matters here: Millán came up in the same orbit as Fuerza Regida, the corrido tumbado act that discovered him, not the South Texas Tejano circuit.
He launched the project with the single “Propio Mundo” in March 2021, signed with Street Mob Records after Fuerza Regida’s Jesús Ortiz Paz brought him in, and by July 2021 had “Qué Está Pasando,” his first Fuerza Regida collaboration, in Mexico’s Top 50. His first long-player, Mi Nueva Familia, came out that November; he followed with ten singles in 2022 before “Qué Onda” broke through in 2023. His 2024 album ONDEADOS continued the run. BMI describes his sound as blending “traditional Mexican music with contemporary urban elements, exploring various subgenres to create a distinctive sound with international appeal.” Eterno, released April 2026 on Street Mob Records, is the album driving this tour. It includes “Beses Así” featuring Grupo Frontera, a track with a Norteño-Tejano sound alongside the corridos. Millán now carries 20 million monthly Spotify listeners.
The Eterno Tour is his first-ever solo U.S. run, spanning 15 dates from July 30 in San Jose through September 18 in Chicago, promoted by Live Nation and Street Mob Records. San Antonio is stop 13. No support acts have been announced for this date. Before the run began, Millán said: “I’m nervous, but at the same time excited to be on stage singing for my fans in the United States, who have always shown me so much love.”
