Twenty years since High School Musical hit Disney Channel, and the cultural debt is still being collected — in sold-out clubs, themed cocktails, and a crowd that absolutely knows every lyric they claim to have forgotten. Bop To The Top brings its Summer Tour 2026 to Aztec Theatre on Saturday, August 22, and the San Antonio stop lands in a room well-sized for what this production has become in its fourth year on the road.

This is a DJ-led dance party, not a concert in the traditional sense — and that distinction matters. Resident DJ Jeffery the DJ runs a full evening built from the 2000s Disney Channel catalog: High School Musical, Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, The Cheetah Girls, Lemonade Mouth. The format is interactive: a Battle of the Sharpay’s competition, a We’re All In This Together dance-off, and a costume contest. Costumes are encouraged; themed cocktails are part of the program. Figure three hours of high-volume, participatory nostalgia.
The 2026 run is framed partly as a 20th-anniversary celebration of both Hannah Montana and High School Musical — a hook that’s driven 70+ dates across the United States, Canada, and the UK this year, with multiple stops selling out on the current leg. Year 4 of the tour has turned what started as a nostalgia novelty into a legitimate touring franchise with a documented cult following. On select nights, guest appearances from Lucas Grabeel — Ryan Evans in the original HSM — and Life by Michael have been part of the lineup; the San Antonio date does not have confirmed guest additions in current materials.
At Aztec Theatre
Aztec Theatre at 104 N. St. Mary’s St. is a 1,477-capacity downtown San Antonio room operated by Live Nation — historically a theater, architecturally imposing, which makes it an interesting venue choice for a standing-room dance party. It suggests a production that’s outgrown the club circuit without quite committing to the arena. The show runs standing room, general admission. Show time 9:00 PM; doors open at 8:30 PM on comparable tour dates.
