Three nights. One room. That’s how Blue October is closing out the North American leg of the Foiled 20th Anniversary World Tour — not a single hometown send-off, but a three-consecutive-night run at 713 Music Hall. December 20 is Night 3, and the band will have already played this same 5,000-capacity amphitheater the two nights before. Houston’s going to have to keep showing up.
About Blue October
That’s a notable ask, even for a band that built its following in these streets. Blue October formed here in 1996, and Foiled — the 2006 album that turned a regional draw into a national act — is the centerpiece of everything going on this winter. The record debuted at No. 29 on the Billboard 200, went platinum, and produced “Hate Me,” which spent 20 consecutive weeks in the top five of the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. None of that happened by accident. It happened because the songs were unusually direct about things people didn’t want to say out loud — addiction, love deployed as a weapon, the specific grief of leaving someone you’re destroying.
The tour launched October 22 in Abilene and has pushed through 37-plus North American dates before arriving here. They also ran a full European leg earlier this year — Munich, Berlin, London among the stops — before circling back for the fall push. At every show: the full album, front to back. Not a greatest-hits set with Foiled framing. The whole thing. Justin Furstenfeld said it when the dates dropped: “Let’s show and remind everyone just how special and eclectic that album was. And, most importantly, how much we wore our heart on our sleeve.”
Support on Night 3 comes from Danny Malone and Jess Woodland.
Venue Info
713 Music Hall sits at 401 Franklin St. in downtown Houston — a 5,000-capacity amphitheater that has established itself as a go-to room for touring acts of this scale in Houston. Three consecutive nights here is a statement. The room doesn’t book that way unless demand supports it.
Tickets & Pricing
The Foiled VIP Meet & Greet package is available if you want soundcheck access and direct time with the band before the show. Showtime is 8:00 PM on Sunday, December 20. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster.
