“We would have never believed we would have made it 20 years after we started this band in 2006, but here we are celebrating it.” That’s guitarist Alex Wade, announcing the 20th Anniversary Tour for Whitechapel — the Knoxville deathcore band that has spent two decades building a catalog of extreme metal. The tour brings a full-catalog set and a four-act bill to House of Blues Houston on Sunday, December 13.
About the Show
The 20th Anniversary Tour is a Live Nation-presented 27-date North American run stretching from November 11 through December 18, 2026, which the band has called their largest headline tour to date. The draw is a full-catalog evening: Wade promised “songs from our entire discography, no albums left out,” spanning the band’s run from This Is Exile (2008) through Hymns in Dissonance, their 2025 release that charted at #2 on Billboard’s Current Hard Rock Albums. That album arrived as the first Whitechapel record produced in-house, with guitarist Zach Householder taking the producer’s chair after spending previous album cycles shadowing producer Mark Lewis. It builds a concept around a cultist gathering followers. Bozeman, who has fronted the band since its Knoxville founding, explained that tracks 3–10 function as dissonant “hymns” representing each of the seven deadly sins, framed as a mockery of the form. Wade described the finished record as “shockingly menacing and brutal” and called it their attempt at writing “our heaviest album to date.” Press coverage from the album cycle landed on “raw energy and mouth-frothing rage.” Bozeman described it as a return to “the music that brought me here,” and the band notes a thematic thread running back to This Is Exile, adding structural context to the full-discography promise. Chelsea Grin, The Acacia Strain, and Netherwalker round out the Houston bill. The show follows the band’s spring 2026 North American support run with Slaughter to Prevail.
