Wheeler Walker Jr. at House of Blues Houston | March 6, 2027

Wheeler Walker Jr. is done. The farewell statement is already on the record: “Every song in Nashville is written by twelve idiots named Chase about trucks they don’t own and farms they never worked on.” He calls himself “country music’s last real outlaw” and says he’s “riding off into the sunset, flipping double birds at Music Row the entire way out.” The “Pullin’ Out: The Farewell Tour” lands at House of Blues Houston on Saturday, March 6, two days after Austin and with the Nashville finale at the Ryman Auditorium still ahead on May 15.

About the Show

Wheeler Walker Jr. is the stage name of comedian and actor Ben Hoffman, former host of Comedy Central’s The Ben Show. The project began in 2016 with the debut Redneck Shit, cut with Grammy-nominated producer Dave Cobb, who also worked with Sturgill Simpson. It debuted at No. 9 on Billboard’s Country chart and No. 1 on Comedy simultaneously, the first album in more than a decade to land at the top of both charts at once. Every record since has come from sessions with Cobb, and the Houston date supports their sixth collaboration: Pullin’ Out, an 11-track farewell album due September 25, 2026. New singles “Fuck This Bar” and “Waiting for the Drugs to Kick In” are out ahead of it, the latter described as a track that “wraps itself in a slow-burning country ballad arrangement while delivering satirical observations about modern life’s frustrations.”

Over five albums, the catalog accumulated over a billion streams and put every release at No. 1 on Billboard’s Comedy chart, with two also charting in the country Top 10. Press descriptions have run from “unfathomably obscene and undeniably offensive” to “fearless, foul-mouthed, filthy…and downright funny.” Hoffman has been clear about why he’s walking: he says he doesn’t want to stick around for when “country music becomes fully AI, which sadly will be better than most of the crap they’re putting out now.” A 10th Anniversary Remaster of Redneck Shit dropped in 2026, a decade bookend on the way to the Ryman. The tour covers more than 50 dates across North America from October 15, 2026 through the May 15 finale. No support act is listed for this date.
