Weird Al Yankovic at Moody Center ATX | September 22, 2026

In 1979, a twenty-year-old from Downey, California had his first real brush with fame: a parody of The Knack’s “My Sharona,” played on the accordion he’d been learning since the day before his seventh birthday. “My Bologna” was its name, and it launched a career that now spans five Grammy Awards, more than two thousand live performances, and the title of the biggest-selling comedy recording artist of all time. “Weird Al” Yankovic brings the Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour to Moody Center ATX in Austin on Tuesday, September 22. Showtime is 7:30 PM.

About Weird Al Yankovic

What Yankovic built in the decades after that debut is something no one had a template for: a comedy catalog that doesn’t date, a touring operation that now fills the largest arenas on the continent, and a fanbase that has only grown wider with time. Mandatory Fun, his fourteenth studio album, made history in 2014 as the first comedy album to debut at number one on the Billboard Top 200 chart since 1963. More than 150 parodies and original songs across that run. A Hollywood Walk of Fame star — the 2,643rd — placed in 2018. The catalog holds up because it earns its jokes on contact; the touring operation holds up because Yankovic has never treated a live show as anything less than a full production.

The 2025 run closed any remaining argument about his draw: seventy-five shows across sixty-seven cities, more than half a million fans, and sellouts at Madison Square Garden, The Kia Forum, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. His own accounting of why 2026 follows immediately: “We did 75 shows this year, and the fans weren’t sick of us yet, so we’re just going to keep on touring until they are.”

The Bigger & Weirder Tour expands to ninety cities across North America this year, running from May 26 through October 17. The production scales up alongside the ambition: an eight-piece ensemble — Yankovic’s original band augmented by four additional musicians — a giant video wall, and multiple costume changes through the evening. Classic parodies, deep album cuts, the full theatrical event. Puddles Pity Party joins as special guest for the entire tour.
