Turnover at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater | November 7, 2026

Turnover spent seventeen years building the kind of catalog that earns you the right to walk away from a label. Down on Earth, released in May 2026 and the band’s first record released independently, is what happens when you use it. The Down on Earth Tour makes its Austin stop at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater on Saturday, November 7.

About the Show

Nothing and Trauma Ray join as support across the full 29-date North American run, which opened November 3 in Cincinnati and closes December 10 in Asheville. Tour announcements have described the collective bill as a draw for fans who want “guitar music dreamy, heavy, textured, and just a little bruised around the edges” — which is also a fair summary of where Turnover has landed after a decade of evolution.

The band formed in Virginia Beach in 2009 as an emo-pop act in the tradition of the Get Up Kids and Texas Is the Reason. The shift started with Peripheral Vision in 2015, which dialed back the distortion and introduced shoegaze haze and summery vocal harmonies. Good Nature (2017) and Altogether (2019) pushed further into wistful introspection. Down on Earth was made “over several years with longtime front-of-house engineer Zac Montez” and is the first Turnover record released outside of Run for Cover Records. They describe it as their most collaborative release to date, one that pulls from across the catalog while emphasizing their live performance energy.

Before the headline run, the band spent the summer on the road with Narrow Head and She’s Green, played Red Rocks with Coheed and Cambria in September, and appeared at Coheed’s Neverender Festival in early October. The tour routes through Dallas on November 6 before reaching Austin. European and UK headline tour dates are booked for spring 2027.

Venue & Logistics

Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater sits at 801 Red River Street in Austin — the 2,500-capacity outdoor stage that’s been part of the city’s touring circuit for decades. Turnover’s documented touring history runs primarily through smaller clubs: The Masquerade in Atlanta, The Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, The Complex in Salt Lake City. With more than 700 documented U.S. shows under their belt, the band knows the club circuit well; the Waller Creek room is a step up in scale. The show is at 6:30 p.m.
