Now the band is bringing Break the Cycle back, almost in its entirety, to amphitheater stages across North America. The Springfield, Massachusetts act is honest about what this tour is: a celebration of a record that earned it.

Staind headlines the Break the Cycle 25th Anniversary Tour at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Saturday, October 17 at 6:00 p.m., alongside Seether (direct support) and special guests Hoobastank and Hinder. The current lineup (Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushok, Johnny April, and Sal Giancarelli) has been on the road since September 8 on a 30-date trek; this stop in The Woodlands falls near the end of the run, two dates before the tour closes out October 19.
Break the Cycle earned five-times platinum certification from the RIAA, part of a catalog that has generated eight Top 10 singles and over 15 million albums sold worldwide. “It’s Been Awhile” alone spent 20 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on modern rock radio. “Fade,” “Outside,” and “For You” charted as well. Per the event description, Staind plans to run the record nearly all the way through, putting those songs in sequence rather than scattered across a hits-only format.
Aaron Lewis called the tour “one big family reunion” and was plain about the anniversary: “25 years later to be touring, celebrating this album and bringing our music to our fans near and far is something really special.” Guitarist Mike Mushok: “Hard to believe it’s been 25 years. I look back on those times as one of the highlights of my career and feel very fortunate to still be doing this.”
Staind isn’t resting on the catalog. After a five-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2019 and delivered Confessions of the Fallen in September 2023, their first studio album in 12 years. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Active Rock Albums chart. The anniversary run offers both — the record that made them, and evidence that there’s still a reason to be here.
