The Rocky Horror Picture Show Live! at House of Blues Houston | October 23, 2026

The Rocky Horror Picture Show has been playing in theaters since 1975 — not occasionally, not as a nostalgia revival, but continuously, on midnight marquees and Halloween circuits and in any room brave enough to let an audience in costume throw toast at a movie screen. The film is the longest-running theatrical release in cinema history, and now, at 50 years, it marks that milestone the only way it knows how: original cast members on the road, a 4K restoration rolling behind a live shadow cast, and an audience that has memorized every line of dialogue it was never supposed to say out loud.

About the Show

The Original Cast Spooktacular Tour sends three principals from the 1975 film back out on the road: Barry Bostwick (Brad Majors), Nell Campbell (Columbia), and Patricia Quinn (Magenta), for a 40-plus date run across North America through October and November 2026. Individual cast members rotate across dates; the specific guest hosting the Houston show had not been confirmed in available sources at press time. Each stop pairs a new 4K restoration of the original, unedited film with a live shadow cast performing simultaneously on stage, plus audience participation that has defined Rocky Horror screenings for generations.

Every ticket includes a prop bag for use during the show; outside props are not permitted. The evening also features a memorabilia display with artifacts and an actual costume from the original production, a costume contest, and VIP packages offering premium seating, a personal photo with the night’s appearing cast member, and autograph opportunities. House of Blues Houston is additionally offering Fast Lane Access and HOB Foundation Room upgrades through the ticket page. The show is rated R.

Bostwick has described the film’s long cultural reach plainly: “Rocky has changed lives…and had a profound effect on how we accept our differences in this world.” Patricia Quinn, who auditioned for the original stage production at a 60-seat Royal Court Theatre Upstairs in London, calls the experience a continuing adventure. Nell Campbell says she is “thrilled to get back on the road and to meet several generations of fans.”

The 1975 film was created by Richard O’Brien and starred Tim Curry as Frank-N-Furter alongside Bostwick, Susan Sarandon, Meat Loaf, Campbell, and Quinn. It has never really left.
