Riley Green at Moody Center | October 1, 2026

There is a version of Alabama country that has always traveled well into Texas, and Riley Green from Jacksonville is its current most visible carrier — a songwriter who writes like a man with something to account for, who fills rooms that hold fifteen thousand, and who arrives at Austin’s Moody Center on October 1 with a new album that will be exactly thirteen days old. That’s Just Me, his fourth studio record on Big Machine, drops September 18. He plays Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 7:00 PM, and if the sequencing is not accidental, it isn’t. This is what a serious album-release tour looks like.

About Riley Green

Green was raised in Jacksonville, Alabama, in the kind of household where his grandfather held handshake competitions with the grandkids — the values from those moments are the kind that don’t leave a person, and they haven’t left him. He still keeps a farm in Alabama, stocked with chickens, goats, horses, and more, tended by family while he tours. The music comes from the same place: traditional in its bones but not a caricature of tradition, moving between heartfelt country storytelling, drinking songs, and what his own press calls “carefree beachy anthems” without the seams ever showing.

The Cowboy As It Gets Tour is the biggest headlining run of his career, and it has already answered the big question: he sold out Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena earlier in 2026, a benchmark that carries genuine weight in the country touring world. The fall leg — which includes the Austin date — features Randy Houser, Kashus Culpepper, and Hannah McFarland on select dates. That’s Just Me arrives on the heels of his recent single “Think As You Drunk,” released May 29, and spans what Green describes as a transformative chapter in his life, ranging from “tender moments of yearning and heartbreak” to the rowdier material his audiences have come to count on.

The year has not been quiet in other respects. Green made his acting debut with a four-episode arc on CBS’s Marshals and joined The Voice Season 30 as a coach on NBC. He has also launched Duck Club Bourbon, a natural extension of the Back 40 Duck Club fan community that has been a central pillar of how he builds and keeps an audience. These are the moves of an artist who knows exactly what he is and is not in any particular rush to become something else.

Moody Center — Austin, TX

Moody Center sits at 2001 Robert Dedman Drive on the UT Austin campus — a fifteen-thousand-seat amphitheater that stands as Austin’s primary address for major touring acts operating at this scale. For Austin country fans, October 1 is the date to hold.
