The name might throw you — Noise Complaints isn’t a band. It’s an experience. More specifically, it’s a Bay Area-born R&B events and digital media company that has spent the past year building the kind of crowd-driven following that gets you booked into House of Blues Houston on a holiday weekend. On Friday, July 3, the Late Night R&B Experience Tour rolls into the Houston venue — a 21-and-up DJ affair designed to feel less like a concert and more like the best night out you’ve had all year.
About Noise Complaints
Noise Complaints is the project of DJ Mark Gonzales, performing as markmark, and his wife Shehnaz Gonzales, who handles operations. They launched out of Oakland in 2024 with a focused premise: immersive R&B entertainment — live day parties, after-hours DJ sets, venue takeovers — anchored by mixing that translates as well to a screen as it does to a room. The numbers back that up: they’ve grown to more than 380,000 YouTube subscribers in just over a year, with another 78,000-plus on TikTok and 62,000 on Instagram. For a company that didn’t exist two years ago, that’s a real audience and a real operation.
The Late Night R&B Experience Tour runs 16 dates across 14 cities from May through August 2026. Houston is stop number ten. By the time they arrive on the Friday before the Fourth, multiple dates on this run — including two San Francisco shows, San Diego, and New York City — will already be sold out. That’s not a footnote; it’s the story. The Houston lineup puts markmark on the decks alongside resident DJs Miles Medina, Sparky, DJ Jehred, SALENIE, and NIKKS.
About the Venue
House of Blues Houston sits at 1204 Caroline St — a Live Nation-operated room that opened in 2008 and has served as one of the city’s primary mid-to-large club destinations since. The main music hall holds 1,200 with a general admission floor and reserved balcony seating, which gives a DJ-driven night like this exactly the right configuration: room to move below, a perch for those who want to take it in. The Foundation Room VIP club is available on-site for an elevated option.
Tickets
Noise Complaints Presents: The Late Night R&B Experience Tour is a 21-and-up event. Doors at 8 PM. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. With sold-out dates already accumulating on this run, the walk-up window is probably shorter than you’d expect for a July holiday weekend.
