Bart Millard built Wonder & Awe around a question he says the modern church keeps failing to answer: where’s the wonder gone? The record, MercyMe’s 12th studio album, grew out of informal studio sessions between tours that the band never intended to become a formal project. When the sessions were done, they had 13 tracks and something K-LOVE described as “an extensive renovation rather than a full reinvention.” The fall 2026 tour built around it reaches The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on Halloween night.

MercyMe (Bart Millard, Robby Shaffer, Nathan Cochran, Michael Scheuchzer, and Barry Graul) headlines the October 31 show alongside special guests Jeremy Camp, Tim Timmons, and Sam Wesley, on the “MercyMe Fall 2026 With Special Guests Jeremy Camp, Tim Timmons and Sam Wesley” tour running October 8–November 15. Since “I Can Only Imagine” crossed over and made Almost There triple platinum, the band has accumulated 26 number-one Christian radio singles and eight Dove Awards. Wonder & Awe, released August 8, 2025, is described as “fearless without forsaking their roots” and “full of surprises.” Multiple tracks address grief from the recent loss of Millard’s father-in-law, while the record overall “celebrates life” and “toasts the miracle of new beginnings.” Lead single “Oh Death” reached No. 3 on Billboard Christian AC at time of press. Other tour stops include Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
The supporting bill brings its own weight. Jeremy Camp, whose memoir about his first wife Melissa’s death from ovarian cancer was adapted into the 2020 film I Still Believe, carries 32 number-one Christian radio hits across all formats, with tour highlights including “I Still Believe” and “Dead Man Walking.” Tim Timmons was diagnosed with inoperable cancer at age 25 in 2001, given only five years to live, and has been touring full-time for more than two decades since; he co-wrote MercyMe’s Grammy-nominated “Even If,” authored Waking Up Again: A Journey of Grief and Gratitude, and is the subject of the upcoming film I Can Only Imagine 2. Sam Wesley, 23, is Bart Millard’s son, carving out his own space in Christian music with 2026 singles “Living Water” and “Holding On To Me,” after co-writing “On Our Way” with MercyMe; Wesley has described the work as figuring out “what is Sam Wesley and what’s not Bart Millard’s son.”
