Masego named Fix Your Face after what a mother says when she expects you to stop the tears and get on with it. He calls it his approach to life: “no matter what comes at me.” The album landed July 17 on Capitol Records, three years in the making. He plays Houston on August 7, three weeks after it dropped.

The Fix Your Face Tour is his first major headline run in nearly three years, a Live Nation production spanning 40-plus dates across North America and Europe. Houston is the third stop, after Dallas (August 4) and Austin (August 6).
Fix Your Face, his third studio album, was co-produced with Jordan Elgie. The guest list maps his range: Buju Banton, Keyshia Cole, Leon Thomas, Musiq Soulchild. The Buju Banton feature isn’t accidental — Masego was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and the album draws explicitly on his Jamaican heritage and faith alongside the American soul tradition. His parents were both pastors; he grew up on gospel. The project took three years to complete, with Masego moving away from freestyling toward deliberate songwriting and putting vulnerability and emotional honesty at the center of the work.
Masego coined “TrapHouseJazz” to name what he does: jazz saxophone and live instrumentation laid over trap production and R&B. He plays saxophone, drums, piano, trombone, and xylophone, all self-taught, and the live show is built around that range. Singles “I Win,” “Unhinged,” and “Spin The Block” came in 2025 after a two-year quiet period; the new album adds “Recommend” and “Breathe.” His 2017 collaboration with FKJ, “Tadow,” went Platinum in the U.S. and Diamond in Brazil; his project Studying Abroad: Extended Stay earned his first GRAMMY nomination. He’s accumulated nearly two billion global streams. When he announced the tour, Masego kept it short: “I am leaving the comfort of my home and coming city to city. You gon’ pull up on me or what?”

The show is at the Music Hall at House of Blues Houston, 1204 Caroline Street in Houston. For an artist who closes the tour at The O2 in London and plays Radio City Music Hall in New York, the Music Hall holds 1,800. Show time is 7:00 p.m. No support act has been announced for this date.
