JET is bringing the Down the Moonlit Mile Revue to House of Blues Houston on Saturday, September 12th — and the decision to play a 1,800-cap club rather than something larger is worth noting. This is a band whose debut single was inescapable in 2003, the kind of track that still turns up in movie trailers and playlists twenty-three years on without anyone asking why. They could lean into that recognition and play it bigger. Instead, they’re booking into rooms where the show stays tight and the crowd knows every word. That choice means something.
About JET
The Melbourne band — brothers Nic Cester and Chris Cester, alongside Cameron Muncey and Mark Wilson — formed in 2001 and spent the better part of the next decade building one of the more unassailable rock catalogs of the era. Their 2003 debut, Get Born, produced back-to-back number-one singles on the US Modern Rock chart: “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Cold Hard Bitch.” They walked away from 2004 with multiple ARIA Awards and didn’t really slow down until they called it in 2012 after three albums.
They reformed briefly in 2017 to play with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Australia, then properly reunited in 2023 to tour Get Born in full for its 20th anniversary — at which point the ARIA organization inducted them into their Hall of Fame. That recognition hasn’t put the band into ceremonial mode. Throughout 2025 they worked the US circuit and hit European festivals, and they’ve been previewing new material: the singles “Hurry Hurry” and “Un’avventura” point toward their first album since 2009’s Shaka Rock.
Kingston, Ontario’s The Glorious Sons are on as support. A guitar-forward Canadian rock band with platinum and gold certifications at home and a new album, Glory, in current rotation — they’re a strong pick for the slot. The show starts at 7:00 PM. Get there early.
About the Venue
House of Blues Houston is at 1204 Caroline St in downtown Houston, capacity 1,800. It’s an A-list room with full stage production and a Foundation Room lounge upstairs. For a guitar-heavy bill like this one, it’s a clean fit — big enough for the band to stretch out, contained enough to keep the energy where it belongs. More Houston concerts this season.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale now through Ticketmaster. HOB Foundation Room VIP Access and Fast Lane Access upgrades are available for those who want an elevated experience or to skip the general admission line.
