idobi Radio Summer School at House of Blues Houston | June 24, 2026

Honey Revenge is headlining the idobi Radio Summer School Tour this year — and if you paid attention to this package in 2024, you know what that means. The Los Angeles pop-rock duo worked the Summer School bill as an opener two years ago. Now they’re closing the show when the tour stops at House of Blues Houston on Wednesday, June 24. That’s the arc that makes these traveling packages worth following: an opener earns the slot, then earns the top line.

Honey Revenge is Devin Papadol (vocals) and Donovan Lloyd (guitar). They’ve put in the work to get here — a headlining run, two national tours, and a UK run supporting The Used, plus streaming traction on Spotify’s Fresh Finds and Apple Music’s New In Rock. Their debut album Retrovision, out via Thriller Records, moves between pop-melodic and emo-inflected territory without committing fully to either, which is probably why it landed well across the alternative press — Rock Sound, MTV, and Kerrang! all took notice. The new single “Hot Commodity” runs in the same register: hooks up front, no apology for it.

The Summer School tour was built by people who know what this circuit is missing. Kevin Lyman ran Vans Warped Tour; Eric Tobin runs Hopeless Records; Michael Kaminsky operates KMGMT. All three co-founded Summer School with a stated mission: a traveling, affordable multi-band package where you show up early, stay all night, and leave knowing a band you didn’t walk in knowing. The founders are explicit about what they’re trying to resurrect for emerging artists and the fans who come out to find them. The tour runs 25 dates across the U.S. and Canada from June 19 through July 26, produced in partnership with Live Nation, before wrapping at Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach.

The full Houston bill: Honey Revenge, South Arcade, Games We Play, Winona Fighter, and Chase Petra. Doors at 5 PM are not ceremonial — this format rewards the people who arrive for the first act.

House of Blues Houston at 1204 Caroline Street holds 1,800. For a touring package built around the opposite of arena-scale production, it’s about as large as this format can go and still keep the room feeling like a room.
