The last time Daniela Spalla and Esteman released something together (“Te alejas más de mí,” 2020), it earned four-times-platinum certification and cleared 200 million streams. Amorío, their debut collaborative album, is a more ambitious proposition: 10 tracks structured as what the duo calls “a sonic telenovela: heightened emotions, complex relationships, unexpected turns,” running from infatuation through heartbreak to something like acceptance, with merengue, bolero, cumbia, and synth-pop moving the story forward. The Amorío USA Tour brings that full project to House of Blues Houston on November 3.
About the Show
Released in August 2025 on EMI/Universal Music Group México, Amorío pairs Argentine singer-songwriter Daniela Spalla with Colombian artist Esteman (born Esteban Williamson, Bogotá), both Latin GRAMMY nominees with separate careers that span festival slots at Vive Latino and Tecate Pa’l Norte to sold-out runs at Mexico City’s Teatro Metropolitán. Spalla settled in Mexico in 2013 after Ximena Sariñana invited her to perform there; her debut album Ahora vienen por nosotros (2014) earned a Latin GRAMMY nomination and launched tours across Mexico, Colombia, the U.S., and Argentina. Her streaming catalog has since crossed 400 million plays. Esteman is openly gay and has built a career around what he describes as “showing myself in my most authentic way,” a confessional mode that runs through Amorío‘s DNA. The album draws on the legacy of the great Spanish-language duets, Juan Gabriel and Rocío Dúrcal, Miguel Bosé and Ana Torroja, Pimpinela, while pushing into contemporary territory: producers including Adán Jodorowsky and Manú Jalil shaped what Rolling Stone en Español called a “warm, cinematic and fresh” sound. Esteman frames the ambition plainly: “We wanted to turn pain around with humor, rhythm, with riskier production.” Lead single “Amantes” reached No. 1 on radio in Mexico. Their June 2026 Mexico City show ran 29 songs, alternating between solo material and tracks from Amorío. The original May 2026 US dates were postponed after visa complications; these fall dates are the run that finally made it. The Houston stop is all-ages.
Venue & Logistics
Houston’s House of Blues (1204 Caroline St.) puts this show in a 1,800-capacity room, a meaningful contrast for artists who headlined Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional at 10,000 capacity. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. VIP tables seating four are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
