Daniel Caesar at Moody Center | July 19, 2026

Daniel Caesar has been making some of the most quietly constructed R&B of the past decade, but Son of Spergy — his fourth studio album, released October 24, 2025 — arrives with a different gravity than the records that built his name. The title is not a metaphor. Spergy is the nickname of his father, Norwill Simmonds, the man Caesar left behind at seventeen years old following a conflict serious enough to leave him, for a stretch, without a fixed address. The album is what a decade of distance and earned perspective sounds like when someone finally writes it all down. The Son of Spergy Tour brings that reckoning to Moody Center in Austin on Sunday, July 19, 2026. Doors at 7:30 PM. Faye Webster opens.

About Daniel Caesar

Caesar is a Canadian R&B artist, and Austin holds no particular geographic claim on him — but R&B at this level travels on its own authority, and a 15,000-seat room on a July Sunday night is its own kind of argument. What sets the Son of Spergy run apart is that it represents his first-ever headlining arena tour: thirty dates spanning Asia and North America, from Singapore in May through Anaheim in late August. For an artist who spent years building an audience through careful, meticulous studio records, it is the kind of tour that arrives when the music has finally outrun the rooms it used to play.

Son of Spergy opened at number four on the Billboard 200 and topped the Billboard R&B Album Chart — Caesar’s highest-charting album to date. The record was cut primarily in Jamaica, and it carries that remove: unhurried, willing to sit inside a feeling rather than resolve it on schedule. Collaborators include Bon Iver, Blood Orange, Yebba, and Sampha, as well as Norwill Simmonds himself — Caesar’s father — whose presence in those sessions required something particular from both men. The through-line is reconciliation: with family, with faith, with the version of himself that walked out the door at seventeen. The track “Who Knows” earned Caesar a pair of 2026 JUNO Awards — Best Contemporary R&B Recording and Songwriter of the Year — and the catalog behind it runs deep: “Get You” and “Best Part” have each reached 7x Platinum certification with the RIAA.

Opening the Austin date is Faye Webster. The pairing is not accidental — her sensibility runs at the same frequency of emotional precision that Caesar operates on. Come early.
