Produced alongside BloodPop, the record reaches into 1980s pop textures — and the guest list tells you exactly where it’s pulling from: Kenny G, Michael McDonald, Kenny Loggins, Coco Jones, Ravyn Lenae, Hikaru Utada, and Jeff Goldblum all appear. Those are not accidental names. Rolling Stone called it Puth’s “best work yet.” Four singles are in circulation ahead of the Austin date: “Changes,” “Beat Yourself Up,” “Home,” and “Sideways.”
Born December 2, 1991, in Rumson, New Jersey, Puth arrived at pop by way of classical training — perfect pitch, piano-first arrangements, a harmonic sensibility built well before the streaming era taught most producers to flatten everything. Supporting the Austin date are Daniel Seavey — American Idol alumnus and former member of Why Don’t We — and Ally Salort, a New Jersey singer-songwriter who is on the bill for all North American dates.
