Cameron Whitcomb closes the Kingdom of Fear Tour on Halloween night in Houston. The run opened September 24 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. He is 22 and from Nanaimo, British Columbia. The itinerary is its own argument.

Whitcomb headlines Saturday, October 31 with Noah Rinker opening. The run has moved through Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, and the Wiltern in Los Angeles, with a stop at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater in Austin before Houston closes it out.
He is touring behind Deep Water, his current EP through Atlantic Outpost, anchored by “Kingdom of Fear.” Billboard described the single as “an emotionally charged folk-rock song fronted by Whitcomb’s raw, gritty vocals.” The track has accumulated nearly 75 million global streams and placed him in the Top 20 on the Billboard Canadian Hot 100, his first entry on the chart. PEOPLE magazine called Deep Water “a firm proclamation of happiness…[exemplifying] a clear and infectious love of life and music.” Whitcomb returned to the American Idol 2026 finale as a guest performer, delivering “Kingdom of Fear” as a duet with finalist Brooks Rosser — four years after competing on Season 20.
His 2025 debut album The Hard Way reached number one on Canada’s Country Albums chart and is Gold certified. The JUNO Awards gave him Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Country Album of the Year. The Canadian Country Music Association added Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Fans’ Choice. He received the 2025 CMA Jeff Walker Global Country Artist Award.
The writing is direct about where it comes from. His 2024 debut EP Quitter — which produced the platinum-certified title track and the platinum single “Medusa” — documented his recovery from addiction. The Hard Way extends that territory across 15 tracks. Whitcomb told Rolling Stone: “I want to tell the truth.” He left home at 17 to work pipelines in western Canada; that history runs underneath everything he records.

House of Blues Houston is an all-ages room at 1204 Caroline St, a working club for touring acts who have outgrown the dive bars but haven’t crossed into arenas yet. Box office opens at 6 p.m., doors at 7 p.m. More upcoming Houston shows.
