Buckcherry plays House of Blues Houston on September 1 with co-headliners Black Stone Cherry and Tyler Bryant — one of the final nine dates on the Roar Like Thunder tour before the band heads into the studio. Guitarist Stevie D. has said it plainly: the cycle ends September 6. After that, Buckcherry opens for the Scorpions across eight residency nights in Las Vegas. That sequence — co-headlining 1,800-cap rooms, then immediately opening for a legacy act — tells you exactly where they sit in 2026. Still relevant, still drawing a real crowd, still a rung below arena-headliner on their own name.
About Buckcherry
The Anaheim, California band formed in 1995 as Sparrow, signed to DreamWorks, and released a gold-selling self-titled debut in 1999 before dissolving in 2002. The reformation came three years later with vocalist Josh Todd — the sole original member still in the fold — and 15 turned out to be their biggest: double-platinum, driven by “Crazy Bitch” and “Sorry,” which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100. The current lineup adds guitarists Stevie D. and Billy Rowe, bassist Kelly LeMieux, and drummer Francis Ruiz.
Roar Like Thunder, their eleventh studio album, was produced by Marti Frederiksen in Nashville and released in June 2025. The band has called it “pure, uncut rock.” They’ve been running on it all year. After September 6, they write — with a new record targeted for spring or summer 2027.
The Support
Black Stone Cherry, out of Edmonton, Kentucky, are headliners on their own circuit. Inducted into the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame in October 2024, they’ve placed six consecutive albums at No. 1 on the UK Rock Albums chart — their British following is substantial. Their latest, Screamin’ at the Sky, came out in 2023 on Mascot Records. Tyler Bryant rounds out the bill.
Venue
House of Blues Houston is a 1,800-capacity A-list room at 1204 Caroline St. For a bill of this depth and tenure, it’s the right fit. Browse more Houston rock shows at Lonestar Concerts.
