Ben Burnley and company have been running on Ember since it dropped in 2018 — a No. 3 Billboard 200 debut that produced two No. 1 Active Rock singles and powered years of touring cycles. The studio run after that was thin: 2020’s Aurora was a reimagined collection of past songs, not new material, and 2024’s “Awaken” was the first properly new single in five years. “Something Wicked” arrived in May as something more substantial — the first real studio track toward a new album on BMG, their first original collection since Ember. The track debuted live at Welcome to Rockville before the studio version landed, and Burnley wasn’t understating the scope of what they’re building: “We challenged ourselves especially hard on this record and on this song. We pushed every boundary we’ve previously had as far as it will go, then pushed a little more.”

The Venue
The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion is a 16,500-capacity outdoor amphitheater in The Woodlands: covered seats up front, open lawn behind, a room built for full production shows. Breaking Benjamin fills a space like this without strain — the catalog and the light rig match the scale.
