The 10 Years of 6LACK Tour hits Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater on November 9 — a decade since FREE 6LACK dropped and found its audience, which is exactly what the name is counting. Ricardo Valentine arrives in Austin mid-tour with his fourth album, Love Is The New Gangsta, already out and already reframing everything behind it. A retrospective with something new to prove is a different kind of show.
About 6LACK
Born in Baltimore, raised in Zone 6 Atlanta — the neighborhood is literally in the name — 6LACK released FREE 6LACK in 2016 and it peaked at #34 on the Billboard 200. “Prblms” went double platinum. His follow-up, East Atlanta Love Letter, debuted at number one on the Billboard R&B charts and came away gold-certified, with Future, J. Cole, and Khalid among its features. He built a sound that lived in the gap between R&B and hip-hop without being owned by either, and Grammy nominations followed.
Love Is The New Gangsta (LVRN/Interscope, released May 22) is his most candid record. He worked through the album partly in therapeutic sessions with producer Childish Major — the first half excavates his history with relationships and emotional unavailability, the second half moves toward stability and fatherhood. Cello, violin, and alto saxophone warm up what could have been a cold record. The collaborators include Young Thug, 2 Chainz, Leon Thomas, Mereba, and his partner QUIN. Valentine on the thesis: “Love is really the new cool, and as the title says, Love is the New Gangsta.”

Venue
Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater is Austin’s outdoor stop on Red River St — a 2,500-capacity A-list stage at the center of Austin’s live music corridor. The tour bills itself as an intimate run despite the global scope, and Stubb’s is exactly the scale that holds that. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
Tickets
Tickets are available via Ticketmaster. General on-sale began May 29. Show is Monday, November 9, 2026.
