The moment that keeps circling back: April 2026, Coachella, and a 20-year-old named Shane Boose is midway through his debut festival performance when Billy Corgan walks out from the wings. Rolling Stone described what followed as “one of the moments that simultaneously proved that rock never died.” That kind of endorsement doesn’t get arranged in advance. Sombr — the name Boose performs under — brings his You Are the Reason Tour to American Airlines Center in Dallas on Sunday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m.
About the Show
The You Are the Reason Tour spans 37 North American dates, opening July 22 in Mexico City and closing November 23–24 at Madison Square Garden. For the Dallas stop, The Last Dinner Party and The Hellp open the night, both with active touring calendars of their own.
Sombr is a New York City native, 20 years old, and the sole songwriter and co-producer of his entire catalog (every track written alone, every production decision his). His press materials describe the work as capturing “the intensity of young love with a smoldering vulnerability,” which the numbers bear out. His 2025 single “Back to Friends” ran 52 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global and U.S. charts, and held five weeks atop Alternative Radio. The debut album, I Barely Know Her, produced additional Top 20 entries on both the Billboard Global 200 and the Hot 100. This spring, “Homewrecker” debuted at No. 4 on the Hot 100 (his highest first-week entry), and the follow-up single “Potential” arrived April 16, 2026.
Before this first arena headline run, he’d earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist (2026), an MTV VMA for Best Alternative, and appearances on Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, and Jimmy Kimmel Live. At Coachella, the LA Times reported his set “drew so many fans that they were stretching to the outer edges of the field.” Rolling Stone called it “undeniable rock star energy.” The You Are the Reason Tour represents his first headlining arena run, at a scale most artists spend years working toward.
