Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents The Greatest Show On Earth at American Airlines Center | August 30, 2026

The circus once came to Texas towns the way a summer storm comes — preceded by its own mythology, arriving before dawn, canvas unfurling along the rail yards while the rest of the town was still asleep. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey was the largest of them, the brand that defined American big-top entertainment for more than a century before the curtain came down in 2017. What has returned is something different: no canvas, no animals, no rail yards. What has returned is 65 world-class performers from 17 countries, doing things that shouldn’t be physically possible — and they are coming to American Airlines Center in Dallas on Sunday, August 30, 2026.

About The Greatest Show On Earth

The reimagined Ringling Bros. production runs two hours and trades the live-animal acts that defined earlier eras for something closer to an international variety spectacular — high-flying trapeze, human cannonball, record-breaking unicyclists, Mongolian acrobatics, Colombian teeterboard, and Ukrainian acrosport, all set to a DJ-driven soundtrack. A 30-minute preshow, included with admission, features the Ringling Hype Crew and audience participation before the main event begins.

Among the standout acts: Skyler Miser, billed as The Ringling Rocket, a human cannonball who travels 65 miles per hour across 110 feet of arena air. Wesley Williams on a unicycle more than 34 feet tall — a record-breaking apparatus by any measure. Mimo Seedler, a two-time Extreme Unicycle World Champion. The Flying Caceres, a trapeze troupe drawn from Argentina, the United States, France, and Brazil, performing crisscross formations 40 feet above the floor. The Navas Troupe executing somersaults between spinning wheels in the Double Wheel of Destiny. And the Henan Acrobatic Group from China, performing bicycle stunts and hoop diving.

The production also features a collaboration with rising country artist Maddox Batson, who contributes to what the show describes as an “adrenaline-charged musical mashup.” Bailey Circuit™ — a robotic quadruped character — provides a contemporary interactive element for younger audiences.

The Dallas run closes the Texas leg of the national tour before the show moves to Edinburg (September 3–6), following earlier engagements in Houston, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. The August 30 performance — one of two shows that Sunday — starts at 12:00 PM.
