Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey presents The Greatest Show On Earth at American Airlines Center | August 29, 2026

For the better part of its 150-year history, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey operated on a single premise: more. More animals, more acts, more spectacle compressed into a traveling tent or arena than any other show in America. When the circus went dark in 2017 after years of pressure over its animal acts, it felt like an ending — not just of a show, but of a particular American appetite for a certain kind of wonder. What came back in 2024 was something genuinely different.

The reimagined Greatest Show On Earth arrives at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Saturday, August 29, 2026, part of a 60-city national tour and one of five Texas stops on a late-summer sweep through Houston, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Dallas, and Edinburg. The August 29 showing goes at 11:00 AM, with a second performance the same afternoon at 3:00 PM.

About The Greatest Show On Earth

What makes this version of Ringling worth the attention of anyone who grew up assuming the circus had run its course: the 2026 production has been rebuilt around music as its primary engine. A live DJ controls a multi-genre soundtrack moving through hip-hop, EDM, Latin, country, and pop in real time, driving the pacing of acts rather than filling the background. CEO Juliette Feld Grossman has described the concept as taking something as universal as a party and building it into the experience from the moment you arrive — and for once, the marketing language appears to match what is on the stage.

The two-hour main show features 65 world-class performers drawn from 17 countries. The Navas Troupe executes the Double Wheel of Destiny — four daredevils leaping and flipping atop massive spinning wheels. The Flying Caceres work a Criss-Cross Flying Trapeze 40 feet in the air. Skyler Miser, billed as The Ringling Rocket, performs as a human cannonball launched at 65 mph. Wesley Williams rides what is billed as the world’s tallest unicycle at more than 34 feet; Mimo Seedler holds an Extreme Unicycle World Championship title. Troupe Brothers bring teeterboard and extreme jump rope work; the Henan Acrobatic Group contributes bicycle tricks, hoop diving, and human stacking. Trio Nova performs acrosport from Ukraine; Salsa Colombia brings an acrobatic salsa fusion from Colombia. Taken together, the cast represents 17 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, France, China, Mongolia, South Korea, Spain, and Ukraine.

There is also a notable first in this production. In the show’s 150-year history, this marks Ringling’s first formal music artist collaboration integrated into the performance itself. Teen pop-country star Maddox Batson recorded a custom remix blending contemporary country music with circus performance energy, accompanying the street-style unicycle act. For a Texas audience that has lived its entertainment life with country music never far from the room, there is something fitting about where that particular pairing landed.

A 30-minute Ringling Hype Crew pre-show — dancing, DJ-led crowd moments, and audience participation — is included with every admission and begins 30 minutes before showtime.

The American Airlines Center sits at 2500 Victory Ave in Dallas, a 20,000-capacity arena anchoring the Victory Park district and one of the premier large-scale touring stops in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Ringling’s multi-performance run here — four days, multiple shows per day — reflects the scale of ambition behind this revival. The full Dallas engagement runs August 27–30, with the August 29 performances at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
