Jo Koy at Frost Bank Center | October 3, 2026

Jo Koy doesn’t stumble into markets and move on. Saturday, October 3rd marks his fourth trip to the same San Antonio building in six years — the Frost Bank Center, the room formerly known as the AT&T Center, all 19,000 seats of it. He came in 2021. He came back in 2023 and again in 2024. The fact that he’s returning this fall, on the Koy Meets World Tour, tells you something about the relationship between this comedian and this city.

About Jo Koy

Born Joseph Glenn Herbert in Tacoma, Washington — Filipino-American, the son of a white American father and a Filipino mother — Koy started performing in 1994 at a Las Vegas coffee house, about as humble an entry point as stand-up comedy offers. He worked his way to Los Angeles and the Laugh Factory, and built an audience the way comedians used to: city by city, room by room, learning what landed and what didn’t.

His first Netflix special, Live From Seattle, arrived in March 2017 and established the template — family stories, his son, the Filipino-American experience rendered in a voice that crosses demographics easily. Four more specials followed: Comin’ In Hot (2019), In His Elements (2020), Live from the LA Forum (2022), and Live From Brooklyn (2024), the last of which ranked sixth among the most-watched Netflix specials of its release year with over 240 million minutes streamed. He places consistently among the top ten grossing stand-up comedians annually by Pollstar and Billboard — a standing that reflects what happens when you sell out Madison Square Garden, the O2 Arena in London, and the Tacoma Dome.

In January 2024, Koy hosted the 81st Golden Globe Awards — the first Filipino-American and the first Asian comedian to host a major awards ceremony solo. He filmed a new Netflix special at Stockton’s Adventist Health Arena in January 2026, with a release expected later this year, likely the project that the Koy Meets World Tour is built around. A DreamWorks animated film, Forgotten Island, for which he provided voice work, drops September 25th — one week before San Antonio.

Frost Bank Center

The Frost Bank Center — formerly the AT&T Center, a name longtime San Antonio audiences still reach for out of habit — sits at 1 AT&T Center Parkway and holds 19,000. It is the city’s primary large-format arena for touring acts of this scale, and the same room where Koy’s three previous local appearances took place. For the San Antonio comedy calendar, this is the marquee booking of the fall.
