Twenty years after King of Kings topped Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and reset the ceiling for what reggaeton could sell in the United States, Don Omar brings The Last King World Tour to Frost Bank Center in San Antonio on Thursday, October 22.
The tour title is not a marketing phrase. It is a direct citation of that 2006 album and of the arc of a career that William Omar Landrón Rivera has spent two decades building into a genre argument. He debuted in 2003 with The Last Don, established himself as the defining commercial force in reggaeton with King of Kings, and has sustained the claim through hits that include “Danza Kuduro,” “Salió el Sol,” “Dale Don Dale,” and “Bandoleros.” He has earned multiple Billboard Latin Music Awards, Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, Premios Juventud honors, and Latin GRAMMY recognition. In 2024, Premio Lo Nuestro presented him with its Global Icon Award, honoring his lasting influence on reggaeton and his role in bringing the genre to mainstream audiences. The official press release for this tour calls him “a defining voice and pioneer of reggaeton” — a case the 21-date North American run makes on its own terms.
About the Show
The Last King World Tour is Don Omar’s own production, with Cardenas Marketing Network handling U.S. promotion. Mounted to mark the 20th anniversary of King of Kings, the 21-date run launched September 25 in Reading, PA, and closes November 8, 2026, with arenas booked across Brooklyn, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and elsewhere. It follows his 2024 “Back to Reggaeton Tour.” His most recent studio album, Forever King (June 2023), earned Platinum (Latin) certification from the RIAA, with collaborators including Maluma, Akon, Wisin, and Lil Jon.
