JINJER at Emo’s Austin | June 27, 2026

JINJER are one of the few acts in modern metal who can anchor a mid-size room on the strength of a single clip — “Pisces,” off the 2016 King of Everything EP, remains the entry point for half their audience, the moment where Tatiana Shmayluk pivots from clean soul to full death growl mid-phrase without telegraphing the shift. Nine years later, the band has built something well past that moment. The June 27 date at Emo’s Austin is part of the Duel North America 2026 run — 37 cities, their first North American headline stretch since 2024 — and it arrives behind Duél, their February 2025 album on Napalm Records, which the band and press alike have called their most ferocious record to date.

About JINJER

The band formed in Donetsk, Ukraine, around 2009–2010, with Shmayluk’s arrival cementing the lineup that would eventually accumulate over 250 million streams and a worldwide touring circuit. The genre tag is progressive metalcore, but that flattens what they actually do: the riff architecture has groove metal in it, the rhythm patterns lean djent, and Shmayluk’s melodic passages carry genuine soul and R&B influence. Duél opens with “Tantrum” and doesn’t let up through eleven tracks. In March 2022, after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the band paused their career to support relief efforts at home; the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture granted permission in June 2022 for them to resume touring as cultural ambassadors. That weight doesn’t dissolve when they take the stage — it’s part of what this band is now.

Supporting are Crystal Lake — the Tokyo metalcore outfit currently performing with guest vocalists following frontman John Robert Centorrino’s March 2026 departure, whether that reads as stumble or pivot depends on the night — and Entheos, the progressive/technical death metal duo from Santa Cruz on Metal Blade Records. Both acts have enough weight to make the early arrival worth it.

About Emo’s Austin

The current Emo’s Austin is the Live Nation iteration of the name, not the Red River original that defined Austin punk and indie from 1992 to 2011. The rebrand relocated to 2015 E Riverside Dr with a 1,700-person capacity, booking the mid-tier touring circuit above Mohawk and below Stubb’s outdoor. For JINJER at this stage of their North American presence — past small clubs, not yet arena-routing in the States — it’s a sensible fit. The Texas leg of this run moves through Houston and Dallas before landing here on June 27; Emo’s handles this weight class of touring metal with regularity.
