Intocable at Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land | November 21, 2026

Grupo Intocable has been working the Texas circuit for thirty years, and the question they arrived asking — whether a norteño accordion band out of Zapata could fill something larger than a South Texas dancehall — was answered so completely that Billboard eventually named them the Group of the Decade and stopped trying to contain what they’d built. What Ricky Muñoz and his bandmates fashioned from the brush country along the Rio Grande is bigger than any regional category: a fusion of norteño’s accordion-driven roots and Tejano’s electrified stride that turned out to be documentation of something larger — the soundtrack of the bicultural experience, of living fully between two countries and belonging to both. “Culture isn’t imposed,” Muñoz said when the current tour was announced. “It’s lived.”

They bring the Cultura Tour to Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land on Saturday, November 21, 2026. Showtime is 8:00 PM CT; doors open at 7:00 PM.

About Grupo Intocable

Formed in Zapata, Texas, Grupo Intocable built their following from the ground up through the norteño corridors of South Texas and Northern Mexico before the rest of the country caught on. Their Grammy-winning catalog draws from both the traditional accordion-driven norteño repertoire and the more electrified Tejano sound — a fusion that earned them multiple Latin Grammy Awards and made them, by any honest accounting, one of the most decorated acts in Regional Mexican music history.

The Premio Lo Nuestro record tells part of the story: Intocable holds the record for most wins in the banda and norteño categories, a streak that included a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 — an honor typically given in retrospect, here awarded to a band still actively recording and touring. What that says about the pace at which they accumulated the record is something the other nominees could work out on their own time.

In 2026, the band received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame — formal recognition of what audiences from Laredo to Los Angeles had been saying for three decades: that what started in Zapata had become a genuinely global proposition, a cultural bridge for Latino communities on both sides of every border.

The Cultura Tour is a 24-city run that opened February 14 in Los Angeles and closes November 28 in Hidalgo. The Texas leg clusters at the end of the year — Austin on the 14th, Houston on the 21st, San Antonio on the 25th, Fort Worth on the 27th, Hidalgo to close it on the 28th — and reads, by design, as a homecoming. Muñoz put the tour’s intention plainly when he announced it in January: “We’re not coming just to perform songs; we’re coming to honor who we are, who we were, and what we continue to build together.” Their new single, “Estamos Todos,” is out now.
